The documents issued by Government Authority of India, can be Attested by the Consulateonly if the documents are attested / apostilled by CPV Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Visit the Indian Government's Portal for more details.
For documents issued in Government Authority of Germany, must be first notarized and attestedby District Court or Landesgericht

Follow the below steps in order to apply

Create an account (Register yourself) on Alankit Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. Click Here to register.
Book your appointment online at Alankit Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. You can choose a convenient date and time to visit the Alankit ICAC for your application submission. Click Here to book your appointment online.
Ensure that you have your all other supporting documents, exactly as per the "Documents Checklist" section.
Visit the Alankit ICAC, as per your jurisdiction. The address and location of the ICAC will be clearly mentioned in the appontment letter.
Kindly ensure you reach the ICAC 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
Submit your application and deposit your fees at Alankit ICAC. You can check the fee for this application under the "Fee Details" section.

Documents Checklist for Attestation of Life Certificate: Pensioners

Click Here to fill the online form to generate the PDF of the Request Form / Request Letter. Please note a printout of the PDF is required along with other documents in the checklist.
Self-attested photocopy of the first and last page of the Indian passport (personal information pages).
02 photocopies of the duly filled requisite Life Certificate prescribed by the concerned department of India or Self-attested photocopy of the Pension Order issued by the concerned department of India.
Self-attested photocopy of valid German Stay Permit (Aufenthaltstitel/Visa/Personal Ausweis).
Self-attested photocopy of Proof of Current address in Germany (City Registration/ Meldebestätigung / Anmeldung).
Proof of payment of the applicable fee (if made through bank transfer).
The applicant must bring one passport-size photo with them, and all documents must be self-attested.

Note:

Kindly note the applicant must visit to ICAC for submission of the application and sign the Life Certificate in front of the ICAC staff after approval from the Consular Officer of the Concerned Indian Embassy/Consulate. Applications through Post will not be accepted for this service.
Kindly note that this is a gratis / free of charge service from the Embassy or Consulates, however, the applicant required to pay the service charges of ICAC.

Printed copy of the duly filled online application form at https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/. (Applicant should sign the application on appropriate places).

A letter from the applicant stating the reasons for requesting for Life Certificate.

Courier Charges

€26 – Within Province (with Insurance & Tracking)
€33 – Outside Province (with Insurance & Tracking)

All applications, especially postal applications are processed with return courier service to avoid delays and ensure secure delivery.

Bank Transfer Charges

An additional €0.50 applies for payments made via bank transfer, to cover transaction fees.

What is the procedure for attestation of Power of Attorney?
- For Indian Nationals:
  - Please prepare the PoA as per your requirement.
  - Book your appointment online on our website and visit Alankit ICAC (as per your correct jurisdiction) on the appointed date and time. Please carry your Indian passport in original, German Visa or Ausweis / Residence permit (in original), Aadhar Card (in original) and a copy of the PoA.
  - Submit your application and deposit the fee. You can pay in cash, or through your debit / credit card. Refer to the "Fees Details" section to know the exact fees you have to pay.
  - The PoA has to be signed by the applicant in front of the Alankit submission officer.
  - PoA is then deposited for registration and processing, and is usually returned within two working days.
- For Foreign Nationals:
  - Please get the document notarized and attested by the District Court (Landsgericht) within your correct jurisdiction. Refer to "Jurisdiction" section to know your exact jurisdiction.
  - Book your appointment online on our website and visit Alankit ICAC (as per your correct jurisdiction) on the appointed date and time.

- For Indian Nationals:
  - Please prepare the Affidavit and Declaration document as per your requirement.
  - Book your appointment online on our website and visit Alankit ICAC (as per your correct jurisdiction) on the appointed date and time. Please carry your Indian passport in original, German Visa or Ausweis / Residence permit (in original), Aadhar Card (in original) and a copy of the Affidavit and Declaration document.
  - Submit your application and deposit the fee. You can pay in cash, or through your debit / credit card. Refer to the "Fees Details" section to know the exact fees you have to pay.
  - The Affidavit and Declaration document has to be signed by the applicant in front of the Alankit submission officer.
  - Affidavit and Declaration document is then deposited for registration and processing, and is usually returned within two working days.
- For Foreign Nationals:
  - Please get the document notarized and attested by the District Court (Landsgericht) within your correct jurisdiction. Refer to "Jurisdiction" section to know your exact jurisdiction.
