Civil Attestation of Indian Public or Educational Documents in Germany

Civil attestation is the process of verifying Indian public or educational documents to confirm their authenticity for official use abroad. This service is commonly required for purposes such as education, employment, immigration, or legal matters, and involves validation by the concerned authorities, subject to prescribed procedures.

For applicants in Germany, Alankit Global assists with the preparation and coordination of applications for civil attestation of Indian public or educational documents. Our role is limited to facilitation and application-readiness support only. We do not attest documents or influence attestation decisions. The verification and attestation are carried out solely by the competent authorities.

Book your appointment online at Alankit Global Service Centre website. You can choose a convenient date and time to visit the Alankit Global Service Centre for your application submission. Click Here to book your appointment online.
Ensure that you have your all other supporting documents, exactly as per the "Documents Checklist" section.
Visit the Alankit Global Service Centre, as per your jurisdiction. The address and location of the centre will be clearly mentioned in the appontment letter.
Kindly ensure you reach the centre 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
Submit your application and deposit your fees at Alankit Global Service Centre. You can check the fee for this application under the "Fee Details" section.

For Postal Applications

Documents Checklist for Attestation of Educational Documents (issued by Educational Institutes in India):

Click Here to fill the online form to generate the PDF of the Request Form / Request Letter. Please note a printout of the PDF is required along with other documents in the checklist.
Self-attested photocopy of the passport of the applicant (personal information pages).
Self-attested City Registration Certificate (Meldebescheinigung) of your current German address is mandatory for all types of document processing.
Self-attested photocopy of valid German Visa / Aufenthaltstitel (Residence Permit)/Personal Ausweisof the applicant.
Pre-attested document(s) along with a photocopy. The document must be pre-attested by Section Officer (OI/Attestation), MEA, New Delhi. The information for apostille can be seen at https://www.mea.gov.in/apostille-menu.htm.
Proof of payment of the applicable fee (if made through bank transfer).
The applicant must bring one passport-size photo with them, and all documents must be self-attested.

Courier Charges

€26 – Within Province (with Insurance & Tracking)

All applications, especially postal applications are processed with return courier service to avoid delays and ensure secure delivery.

Bank Transfer Charges

An additional €0.50 applies for payments made via bank transfer, to cover transaction fees.

What is the procedure for attestation of Power of Attorney?
- For Indian Nationals:
  - Please prepare the PoA as per your requirement.
  - Book your appointment online on our website and visit Alankit Global Service Centre (as per your correct jurisdiction) on the appointed date and time. Please carry your Indian passport in original, German Visa or Ausweis / Residence permit (in original), Aadhar Card (in original) and a copy of the PoA.
  - Submit your application and deposit the fee. You can pay in cash, or through your debit / credit card. Refer to the "Fees Details" section to know the exact fees you have to pay.
  - The PoA has to be signed by the applicant in front of the Alankit submission officer.
  - PoA is then deposited for registration and processing, and is usually returned within two working days.
- For Foreign Nationals:
